During a recent episode of the Tamron Hall Show, Porsche Williams kept him honest and revealed some of his previous experiences in his new book, The Pursuit of Porsche. The time frame of the book is set in her childhood and 20s, which discusses some key points such as considering suicide and various relationships with men. The 40-year-old reality star has openly stated why she decided to reveal her past relationship with R. Kelly.
If you remember, Porsha spoke to People on November 17, sharing some of her experience with the singer. However, she went into more detail in the episode as she explained to Tamron that although she had a platform as a former cast member of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta for ten years, other alleged victims revealed their trauma during of the documentary, “Surviving R. Kelly,” she was not ready to speak. This is due to the fact that it has not yet been cured. The reality star made it clear that she grew up when the meetings with the singer took place, but said that she does not know her own worth and does not appreciate herself.
Although Porsche mentions Kelly’s name in her book, she says he is not the only one to attribute the mental violence she has experienced. “He was just one of the men who was a predator in my life, who took advantage of me and mentally abused me. So I didn’t see him any different from these same men. The same darkness, the same attitude, they stood up and met the same Porsche who did not know his own worth, “she explained. The mother and the entrepreneur went on to say that she did not love each other at the time.
As the conversation continued, Tamron asked Porsche about having sex with R. Kelly and why she wrote that she was in that position. “I made a lot of accusations against the victims, I was very ashamed of myself, and that made me keep quiet for a long time to speak out against every sexual violence I encountered in my life,” she recalled.
