Actress Andrea Bordeaux Says She Was Fired From The Starz Series ‘Run The World’ Over Vaccine Mandate

For those who tuned in to the first season of the Starz series “Run The World,” you can look forward to a second season, as production for the show is scheduled to start soon. However, one of the show’s leading ladies will not be making a return for the second season.

It has been revealed that Andrea Bordeaux, who plays the role of Ella McFair, will not be back to reprise her role for the show’s upcoming season due to Lionsgate Television’s vaccination requirements. After it was revealed that Andrea would not be returning to the show, she took to Instagram to speak on the situation. She said, “I did not opt to leave the series and Lionsgate made no effort to find a workable solution. I was fired. ”

Andrea proceeded to explain, “My heart is with all of the people around the world who feel that they are losing so much due to their choice to stand in their convictions and to honor their deepest core beliefs. What I know for certain is that when you are leading with your heart and honoring the path that Spirit has laid out for you, nothing can be taken away that will not be returned 1000 fold. I surrender to that with profound Peace and Joy and I encourage you to do the same. ”

Deadline reports that Hollywood studios and unions have decided on the COVID safety protocols that allow producers “the option to implement mandatory vaccination policies for casts and crew in Zone A (which includes the actors and those who directly interact with them) on a production-by- production basis ”

Andrea’s character Ella will not be recast, however, it is unclear if a new character will be introduced to fulfill the fourth leading lady slot in the cast.

While discussing her departure, Andrea also said, “Getting the opportunity to play Ella on #RunTheWorld was an absolute dream come true. I would have loved to continue to grow with this delightful character and having to come to terms with this sharp turn in my life, my dream, and career these past several weeks has been heartbreaking beyond words. I have so much love for the cast and crew of ‘Run The World’ and will miss them. I wish you all the best. Swipe for a few of my favorite memories. ”

The series followed a group of four friends living in the Harlem area of New York City as they navigated the different avenues of their lives, including love, career, and friendship.
