Suspect arrested in fatal shooting of Clarence Avant Jacqueline’s wife (update)

According to TMZ, the suspect was arrested for the shooting of Clarence Avant’s wife, Jacqueline. The man in custody is 29-year-old Ariel Maynor.

Authorities say surveillance footage of a vehicle driven by Manner “fleeing east of Beverly Hills on Wednesday morning after Jacqueline was shot dead.” Shortly afterwards, the incident in the Hollywood Hills was reported.

What led to Manner’s arrest was that he shot himself in the leg.

“Los Angeles police responded and found Manner in the backyard, suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg – and determined that he had shot himself while allegedly robbing this home.

As a result, he was arrested and authorities worked together to gather evidence linking Manner to the home invasion. He is currently the only suspect and is said to have been armed with an AR-15 at the time of the deadly incident.

Manner has a criminal record from 2013, including robbery and grand theft. Manner also received probation for domestic violence.

As previously reported, Clarence’s wife Jacqueline Avant was shot and killed during a home invasion late Tuesday. Police arrived at the home around 2:30 a.m. after a caller told the dispatcher that someone had been shot.

It is reported that there were security guards in the home. Unfortunately, the guard was also shot, but did not return fire. At least one suspect, the shooter, managed to enter the home.

Clarence is part of the 2021 class that was recently introduced in Rock and roll Hall of Fame.

According to Los Angeles Times, Jacqueline was a renowned philanthropist and showed her support in places such as the UCLA International Student Center.
