Prince Harry and Megan Markle are out in New York, and while the couple stopped in the city, they stopped for some soul food in Harlem on Friday after visiting PS123 Mahalia Jackson School with students.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Harry and Megan donated $ 25,000 to Melba’s Employee Support Fund, located at 114th St. The fund helps for the benefit of employees affected by the pandemic and is linked to the non-profit Team Unity Incorporated. The fund has a target of $ 250,000, with ninety percent of the proceeds going to restaurant employees and the rest to Team Unity, which benefits “multicultural education in the New York metropolitan area.”

Melba Wilson, the restaurant’s owner, took to Twitter and said: “It was a great honor for me to officially welcome Prince Harry and Megan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Melba! I am so grateful for their commitment to donate $ 25,000 and I hope to welcome them soon. Thank you for having dinner with us! ”

Sixth page reports that a viewer claims that Prince Harry tasted the waffles and chicken while having dinner at the restaurant. They said, “Harry said he tasted chicken and waffles for the first time, and said it was delicious.” They added that he also tasted the vegetables, which became a favorite because Megan’s mother, Doria Ragland, also makes them.

Because we previously reported that Prince Harry and Megan were recently named one of the most influential people in Time magazine in the world, and their cover for the magazine marks the first time they have officially posed together for the photos on the cover of the magazine.
