Post Malone will perform at Travis Scott’s place at Day N Vegas amid the Astroworld Fest tragedy

Travis was due to close Day N Vegas this weekend, which has changed since news of the eight deaths at Astroworld Fest. In an Instagram post, Day N Vegas announced that Travis would no longer participate, given the “safety and security of all present.” Shortly afterwards, it was announced that Post Malone would play in his place.

“Travis Scott will no longer be participating in Day N Vegas,” said a statement on the festival’s official Instagram account. “The safety and security of all those present at Day N Vegas have been and always are a top priority in our festival planning. We continue to work hand in hand with law enforcement, medical staff and public safety agencies on our weekend protocols. “

As previously reported, eyewitness accounts at the Astroworld Fest recall numerous deaths during Travis’ performance. Footage from the festival shows conflicting details about how things unfolded, as festival goers begged the show to stop after fans began to faint. A video of Travis also appearing, who stopped the show at one point to get help for a fan.

Nevertheless, Travis Scott, Drake and many members of the Kardashian family talked about the tragedy, and Travis even offered to cover the funeral expenses for the lost lives. Travis also reportedly offers free mental health services to concert goers who have been affected by the tragic events.

Reports also note that Travis plans to reimburse all fans who attended.
