The owner of an influential rap blog has died. Early reports say the developer succumbed to complications from Covid, MTO News has learned.
Raysean Autry co-founded KollegeKidd.com, a hip-hop news and culture site with more than 1.2 million Instagram followers.
Raysean’s grieving brother PJ Taylor, 29, told The Sun exclusively: “He died on December 29 from Covid pneumonia.
“He was hospitalized for at least a few weeks in Toledo, Ohio.
“He was 34 years old. We were blinded by his death. We couldn’t even celebrate the holidays.

“His brother Rich is still in the hospital. They were on the same floor.”
Raysean Rich’s twin brother is the other co-founder of KollegeKidd.com.
The two launched the blog together in November 2011 and turned it into a leading source of hip-hop news on the Internet.
PJ explained that the family had not yet told Rich to defend him while he was fighting Covid.
He said: “Rich still doesn’t know. He is still in the intensive care unit. We do not want to tell him and increase his vital signs and something went wrong.
“I don’t think he’ll find out until after Ray is buried, January 10 is the current date.
“He will be buried in Toledo, but we are still choosing the cemetery.”
PJ added: “Ray and Rich lived in LA, but returned to Toledo for months and fell ill here.
“They were a success with Kollege Kidd from the very beginning when they were in the dorm rooms.
“It was just hard work at a time before it was even profitable. They had to choose to get rid of one, and they got rid of sleep, man.
“They had to go to work, go home, work on Kollege Kidd. That would be all.
“You’ll just see them work on Kollege Kidd 24/7, just be with each other 24/7.
“To this day, while they are still in the hospital bed, they are still writing until they can do more.”
Raysean leaves behind a daughter, whom PJ said was “older than 10 now”.
