Netflix Announces New Virus History Movie for Thanksgiving Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton

So far, we are all familiar with the heartbreaking story of the Wanda Thanksgiving and Jamal Hinton Thanksgiving tradition, which first began six years ago. Now the virus story will be turned into a Netflix movie.

According to Diversity, the film will be called “Thanksgiving Text” and the screenplay will be written by Abdul Williams, who has written other films such as “Salt-N-Pepa” and “The Bobby Brown Story”. There is still no director attached to the film. However, it will cover the touching story, which first began with a random text message in 2016.

Wanda and Jamal shared their excitement about the film and said: “We are excited to share our story with the world. We hope it inspires more people to connect and make connections that they wouldn’t normally make. We are so blessed to find true friendship, gathered by God from a wrong text message. ”

For those unfamiliar with their story, it all started when Wanda thought she was texting one of her grandchildren for Thanksgiving dinner. It turns out that she sent the wrong number, which is Jamal’s number. After informing her that he had the wrong number, Jamal asked him if he could still come, Wanda said yes, and they have been celebrating Thanksgiving together ever since.

The tradition also included Wanda’s wife Lonnie Dench. Unfortunately, Lonnie died last year due to complications from COVID-19.

Because we previously Jamal shared the news last April and said at the time: “As some of you may have learned tonight, Lonnie failed … he died on Sunday morning, but Wanda told me all the love and support he was receiving. a huge smile on his face, so thank you to each of you for that! ”

Even after Lonnie’s death, Wanda and Jamal have kept their tradition, which now includes Jamal’s girlfriend.
