Jamie Lynn Spears is speaking out against her parents for allegedly trying to get her to have an abortion when she became pregnant at 16.
It was a difficult pregnancy, as Jamie Lynn explains in her upcoming book, Things I Had to Say, claiming that her parents had worked hard to hide their pregnancy from the public.
TMZ received excerpts from the book detailing the events of 2007 after Jamie Lynn told her parents and management that she was pregnant. For those of you who remember, then Jamie Lynn was the star of Nickelodeon’s “Zoe 101”.
In one passage, Jamie Lynn tells people from her inner circle, “She came to my room trying to convince me that having a baby at this point in my life was a terrible idea.” It’s going to kill your career. You’re just too young. You don’t know what you’re doing. There are pills you can take. We can help you deal with this problem … I know a doctor “… everyone around me just wanted to make this” problem “go away.”
Jamie Lynn boldly stated: “… everyone was sure that termination would be the best course of action.
Jamie Lynn adds that her phone was confiscated to prevent her from communicating with people outside her camp in the hope that the news of her pregnancy would not leak by accident.
Jamie Lynn claims that she was not even allowed to tell her sister Britney that she would have a baby, saying: “I needed her more than ever and she could not help me in my most vulnerable time … Until to this day, the pain of not being able to tell my sister still remains. “
She says she had an argument with her father, Jamie, about adoption, but in the end, her team reached an exclusive agreement with OK! Magazine to break the story and give them the first pictures of her baby.
Jamie Lynn also says that she and her mother went to a hut in the east, in what she believes to be Connecticut, to hide until the article came out. The two spent Thanksgiving together, where “Mom wore her disappointment like her favorite jacket.”
The book is expected to be published in January 2022.
