Friday Faves – The Fitnessista

[ad_1]

Hello friends! Happy Friday and Happy Halloween 🙂 What’s going on? I’m so excited for this weekend. The girls have a costume parade at their school, we carve pumpkins and have a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, I teach a bar team class and a live Fit Team workout, and on Sunday night, we take the crew trick or treat myself to my father and stepmother. I hope you have a fun weekend too!

We had Trunk or Treat in the squadron last weekend, so it was fun to walk around and look at all the different suitcases (some were so complicated! My favorite was the one that offered daisies to the adults) and the kids spent the evening living their best lives filled with sugar. Liv wore the dead bride’s costume, and P wore the giraffe costume we had worn for years. Her real costume this year is a brilliant witch – this is the first year in which their costumes dared more on the scary side than on the sweet one.

Necessary photo with the wart of a squadron bar:

Expect a picture of the guinea pigs in their costumes in Instagram stories and of course, Macy and Caro. They became the cutest little friends. As the mornings got colder, I found the two huddled together on the couch. Quite charming.

Some photos from the pilot’s birthday party:

We picked up family and friends for dinner and drinks later Sunday night after P.’s party.

Appetizer spread:

(Shrimp cocktail, Mexican pastries, artichoke and biscuit dip, chips and salsa)

Plus these sweet bites of mini taco salad! (I did this based on a few I found on Pinterest and just used baked wonton packs in muffin tins, seasoned ground beef, guacamole, salsa, chopped red onions, olives and coriander)

We had a “cowboy dinner”: three grilled tops (Madre makes the best), roasted beans, biscuits, salad, tortillas

And the famous dump cake with homemade vanilla ice cream:

It was a perfect evening to celebrate a loved one

and this made my heart happy that all came, chattered, and hung around the fire.

It’s great now that we no longer have a huge hole in the backyard.

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! Here I share some of my favorite finds from the week and online. I always love to hear about your loved ones too, so please call something you love in the comments section below!

Fashion + beauty:

New holiday sets Beautycounter! BC released three new holiday kits this week and you can get free shipping on orders over $ 50 from now until Sunday. New customers can use the CLEANFORALL20 code for a 20% discount.

Good Scents Bath Oil Trio – like this as a holiday gift idea. Three different aromas: invigorating (rosemary, eucalyptus and mint), clarifying (ginger, cedar and coriander) and de-stressing (chamomile, eucalyptus and patchouli). They are formulated with avocado and jojoba oils.

Countertime Deluxe Mini Set – If you were thinking of buying this line, this set is a great way to test the line before committing to full size! This kit is supposed to last more than a month (some of them will last much longer than that), so this is the perfect time to take this line for a test drive. The set includes: Countertime Lipid Defense cleansing oil, Countertime Mineral Boost moisturizing essence, Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum, Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream and Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream (my FAVORITE night moisturizer).

Clean Sweet Hyaluronic Balm Duo: I love this balm as we head to the winter season of chapped lips. Apply as needed throughout the day to moisturize and soften the lips. It has a unique contour shape and can be used on lips or cheeks for a dewy shine. Available in two shades: Nada (transparent) and Pinch (warm, pink pink)

– Locks in moisture to keep lips conditioned and hydrated, helping them look fuller

– Enriched with lip-loving ingredients for advanced nourishment, which leaves the lips soft and supple without greasy.

– The optimized shape shapes the contours of the lips and is easy to apply. Reminds me of our Clean Deo, but half smaller.

– Can be applied on the cheeks with a pinch of dewy shine

– Smoothes and softens the lips with mango seed oil and chambur seed oil, jojoba oil and avocado. These oils are known to mimic the skin’s natural lipids to retain moisture, leaving lips soft and supple.

I picked up a Trunk Club this week and although there weren’t many guards, I liked these comfortable jogs. I know I will live in these.

The perfect black pants. I wear them with a button top when I want to look tighter (I had a date that day and I wore leopard slides and a silk button), or with a sweater and cute earrings.
