Apparently Brian Landry’s search is over. According to the FBI, dental records are confirmed the human remains found in a Florida nature reserve belong to Brian.
“On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabri Carlton Memorial Reserve and the Miyakahatchi Creek Ecological Park were those of Brian Landry,” the FBI said in a statement.
As previously reported, Brian has been off the net for nearly a month after his fiancée Gabby Petito was reported missing from her family. His parents, Chris and Roberta Landry, told authorities on September 17 that they had not seen or heard from their son since September 14.
Gabby’s body was found Sept. 19 in Bridget-Teton National Forest in Wyoming. The cause of death was determined to be strangulation. Brian has been identified as the prime suspect in the murder.

Brian’s parents helped search the Carlton Reservation in North Harbor, Florida, and directed police to an area Brian visited. This area turned out to be the place where the backpack, the book and human remains were found.
“They’re human remains, no doubt there,” police spokesman Josh Taylor told CNN. “I’d say the remains were in keeping with an individual, you know, skeletal remains.”
His parents were present at the discovery of the items and the remains. Despite floating conspiracy theories, police say the items found have been in reserve “for some time.” Investigators also found clothes with the remains, which are believed to have been what Brian had last seen wearing before his disappearance.
Police have previously searched the area for Brian, but conditions in the area make it difficult. Before yesterday, the items and remains were submerged in water. Police say the found notebook is not open as it needs to be dried and processed.
