It seems that Rory and Mal have definitely gotten back on their feet after leaving the previous podcast of Joe Budden. @Complex reports that the independent podcast by Rory Farrell and Jamil “Mal” Clay “New Rory and Mal” has been officially picked up by Stitcher on SiriusXM, which will be released via Stitcher’s More Sauce Label label. In addition, Rory and Mal will also do a series of live podcast broadcasts in both New York and Los Angeles this November with a more planned 2022. The most important part of the announcement, however, is that the duo revealed that they will retain 100% ownership of the show.
Speaking about the new partnership, Mal said: “There were other offers with more money on the table, but they were not in line with what we were trying to do. We just didn’t feel the same connection with these other people. It was also discussed that “some new elements” would be included in their podcast, including sketches and different approaches to interviews, because fans “really gravitated to the sketches and other things we add.”
Rory, meanwhile, explained the vision for the show, saying: “I am excited that the creative agenda of this show will be to push the show forward, not to push a specific person forward. There are so many things we can do when the ego is exposed, when our real focus is not the person but the show. That’s what I’m excited about. “
