Radhika Madan on aiming at more women-oriented roles

Over the years, there have been multiple talented assortments of actors and actresses making their shift from television to the silver screen. While some have tasted success instantly, some have had to struggle to finally get a film that lets them put their acting chops to the test. Radhika Madan was already a well-known name in the television industry before she made her big Bollywood debut with Pataakha alongside Sanya Malhotra.

Since then she has continued to scale up in her career graph with films like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Angrezi Medium, Shiddat as well as a series of short films namely Spotlight.

After receiving words of appreciation for her performances in such content-driven roles, Radhika has now had her eyes set on more female-centric roles. She is all set to collaborate with the National Award Winner Sudhanshu Saria on a film titled Sanaa where she will be seen essaying the role of a strong-headed, modern ambitious girl with an urban lifestyle.

Not only women-oriented content, but her choice of scripts is also about to see a lot of versatility. As per reports she will also be seen playing the role of an underarm cricketer in Kacchey Limbu.

She’s also working on Homi Adajania’s upcoming show which will have a horde of female narratives being represented in her storyline.

Further commenting on her interesting choice of scripts and approach to more women-oriented content, she commented, “Acting gives me the freedom to lead different lives with every role I take up, that’s one of my favorite parts about being an actor. Through films we also mirror society, I have seen many strong women around me and I feel blessed to get an opportunity to play such impactful and important characters.Right from Sanaa, Homi Adajania’s and the other projects I’m doing, each role celebrates a different story of a woman and I am glad to be the one playing it. “
