President Biden says emergency services refusing to comply with vaccine mandates should be fired

President Biden addressed a variety of issues during his town hall Thursday night, but some of his most controversial comments have eluded police, emergency services and vaccines. Vaccine mandates have begun to hit healthcare workers in some states, and Biden appears to be a vaccination mandate and the first to respond.

Anderson Cooper asked President Biden the question, asking his thoughts on one in three emergency workers who refuse to comply with city vaccine mandates. Cooper explicitly asked Biden if emergency workers who had not been vaccinated should be removed or “released,” and his answer was simply yes.

“Yes and yes,” Biden said. “By the way, I waited until July to talk about a term, because I tried everything else possible. The mandates work. All for the people who leave, you have people from United Airlines and all these airlines, all 96%, 97% of the people have received the vaccine. “

Although the discussion is hypothetical, it is very likely that vaccine mandates for those who respond will take effect soon. As we have already reported, health workers in cities like New York must be fully vaccinated in order to maintain their jobs. These “heroes” in healthcare risk being stopped or terminated if they do not comply.

Biden’s comments garnered mixed responses from the general public. While some people on social media claim that vaccine mandates are necessary for those who respond, others are not here to do so.

“I don’t agree because there were nurses, doctors, ambulance staff, etc. who were in danger of their lives before we had the vaccine,” one user said. “Now, if they don’t want to get it, they lose their jobs?”

“Okay! Yes, fire cops, firefighters, anyone who refuses to get vaccinated,” wrote another user. “My life should not be put at risk when I need safety the most, just because you don’t want a chance Get in line or go out for a while! ”

There are currently local civil service mandates in cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Baltimore and New York.
