Fitness gadgets and extras for 2022

[ad_1]

I share my best fitness gadgets and extras for 2022.

Hello friends! How is the day so far? I hope you have a great time! I have several 1: 1 clients this morning and I’m enrolling in a Tabata class. Tonight is also a meeting night and I am excited to catch food and have a full conversation with my loved one. 😉

For today’s post, I’m sharing some of my favorite fitness gadgets if you’re considering adding to your 2022 Health and Fitness Goals collection. Friendly reminder here that you need exactly zero luxury gadgets to make positive health changes. All you really need are sneakers that fit well and aren’t too worn out, something to use for resistance (ribbons, water bottles, rice bags, bean boxes), a plan, determination and a safe place to cardio workouts. (Everything works at home in your living room, in the park or in the neighborhood!)

These are just some * extra * things I like to have. Oooooooooooooooo interested in data (especially through the Lumen ring, Nutrisense, Oura and Apple Watch) and also include practices that are good for my body and make me feel great (like eating Sakara from time to time and often in the blanket in the sauna). I share some details below about my favorites, plus a few that are on my wish list.

Warning: some partnerships are included below because I have partnered with these companies, use them often, absolutely adore them and love to spread information about all the good things here on the blog. The codes provided will also give you a great discount.

Widgets:

1. Oura ring

I have had the Oura ring for over a year and I really like it. This is the only * jewel * I wear every day. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing thing – it’s huge and bulky – but it’s worth it for me. It is so insightful to see how I sleep every night, plus my assessment of readiness for the day, given the quality of sleep, activity from previous days, body temperature, heart rate variability and much more. I have a full post here with my full experience with the Oura ring and I highly recommend it. (It is worth noting here that a new version has recently been released, which has additional features.)

2. Lumen Metabolism Tracker

I use this every day and it is always interesting to see if my body burns mostly carbohydrates or fats. Since writing this post, I have been able to see the impact that stress and exhaustion have on the function of metabolism. December was craaazzzyyyy month and due to lack of sleep and stress I woke up at 4 or 5 almost every day. If you are interested in Lumen, my link is here and FITNESSISTA will provide you with a 10% discount.

My flexibility score decreased by 10 points, so I started using Nutrisense again (more details below) and made some dietary adjustments to see if this could help me get my numbers back in the green.

3. Fitbit or Apple Watch

I have a love-hate relationship with the Apple Watch. This can be a motivating tracker, especially when it comes to closing the rings every day. It really depends on how much you want to be connected to your phone, as well as whether you can look objectively at traffic numbers and badges without causing pressure / anxiety. I have a feeling that sometimes Apple Watch encourages overtraining (“You closed your rings yesterday! Do it again today!”) And I like to use it in conjunction with my Oura ring. Sometimes the watch tells me to crush it, but the Oura ring tells me I need a day to rest or recover.

I feel like I’d go back to Fitbit (luxury is so beautiful) if I didn’t use my Apple watch to teach lessons. I like that I can control my playlists on my watch without having to go to the speaker!

Garmin is another great fitness tracker, especially if you are a runner, swimmer or hiker.

4. Nutrisense

After taking some time, I have a Nutrisense sensor attached to my arm right now. 🙂 Nutrisene was initially intriguing to me because I wanted to learn more about my personal blood sugar balance and how different foods and activities affect my blood sugar levels. I have learned so much since I started using Nutriense and I highly recommend it. You can watch the video in which I attach the sensor here (I’m a giant chicken and I did it! Haha), listen to a podcast episode I did with Kara Collier here about balancing blood sugar levels, and see my full blog post a review here.

5. Berkey water filter

We love our Berkey. It filters 200+ hazardous contaminants such as bacteria, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, chlorine, viruses, pesticides, etc. that can be found in water. See the full list here!

It does not remove minerals and the water tastes much better. I wish I had a discount code for this one, but unfortunately I don’t. It’s an investment, but one of my favorite things.

Extras

6. HigherDOSE sauna blanket

Let’s all cheer for the sauna blanket! SO many of you have bought and love the sauna blanket, and I’m so excited that you like it as much as I do. This is part of my routine that makes me feel amazing and I notice a huge difference in my skin and the quality of my sleep when it is part of my routine. (When we travel or don’t have the opportunity to use it for more than a week, I miss it!) You can view my full review here and use the FITNESSISTA75 code for a $ 75 discount.

7. Sakara dishes

They are gorgeous and every time I order them, they are worth every penny. The dishes are fresh, vibrant, full of nutrients and I didn’t have to prepare them myself. 😉 I always make breakfast and lunch when I order, and breakfasts are usually some kind of delicious gluten-free pastries or muesli with homemade plant-based milk, and lunch is a mix of different creations. It could be something like plant-based ceviche with tortillas and a giant citrus and spicy salad, a huge salad with Mediterranean garnishes and focaccia or chili with gluten-free cornbread. I highly recommend it, especially if you are trying to assign some comfort in your life or to pamper yourself with delicious and nourishing dishes. My link is here and XOGINAH gives you a 20% discount on the Sakara site.

8. Organize treats

I’m a big fan of Organifi and it’s something I use every day, whether it’s morning green juice, afternoon red juice, a teaspoon of Harmony in my smoothies or an evening glass of gold mixed with warm almond milk. Organifi is full of minerals, antioxidants and adaptogens that can have a positive effect on hormonal function, immune function, sleep, anxiety relief and much more. You can see all their wonderful products here and my code is FITNESSISTA.

2 things in my personal wish list:

9. At home yoga dome

This cozy dome heats up and you can do your yoga practice at home! I was trying to make my own hot yoga studio when we lived in Valdosta for the first time, and it was much more convenient. I like that this is a private dome so you don’t get distracted by dust on the floor or laundry around you. (This is always annoying when I do homework. Just exclude me from all reminders of housework.)

10. Molecules

I’ve wanted one of them for several years and I finally have to do it. This is an investment, especially if you want to get enough for several rooms / floors, but these elegant gadgets can remove air pollutants. You can read more about them and what they do here.

So, tell me, friends: any gadgets or extra fun things you love to have in your fitness or health routine? Share the love in the comments!

Have you tried any of the products above?

ho ho
