It’s winter time on the way to most of the US this long weekend. I go to it because what does “beach time” say like snow? Okay, maybe I’m doing it wrong. If you are planning to hunt for a good deal, we have covered you. We have discounted discounts on laptops, cameras, coffee makers and games to help you spend the winter. Look.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-year subscription for WIRED for $ 5 ($ 25 discount). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you wish). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

Offers for laptops and computer storage

13-inch Apple MacBook Pro

While Apple’s latest 14- and 16-inch MacBooks are the obvious choice for experienced users, the 13-inch model is still worth considering if your budget isn’t that high. The model is a little more capable than the MacBook Air. (Read our guide to choosing the right MacBook.) This deal gives you more storage space for the price of the entry-level model. The deal is also available at B&H Photo, but ends at midnight on January 15.

The 13-inch AMD-based Surface Laptop 4 is my favorite configuration among the many Surface Laptop 4s (see our Surface Buying Guide for more details). This deal gives you 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of SSD. It was $ 700 last November and December, but it’s still a pretty solid discount.

We really like Sabrent’s Rocket Nano SSD. It is small and very fast for everything from archiving to storing large video files. It gets hot under heavy loads – such as editing video directly from the device – and sometimes shows up slowly in Windows 10 (I didn’t have this problem in Windows 11), but backing up on the go, transferring data, and surviving on the road is difficult to win at that price. The 1-TB is also available. See our guide to the best portable storage devices for other options.

It’s a budget internal SSD, which means it’s not very fast and isn’t the best option for gamers or video editors, but it’s still a solid upgrade if you don’t have enough space. You install it directly on the motherboard of your desktop computer.

This Samsung Evo is a little faster than the more common green (which is also often sold). The extra speed will make your phone retrieve files a little faster, but not fast enough for a digital camera (see below for a great camera storage card).

Offers for cameras

Panasonic Lumix S5

Our favorite full-frame video solution is currently selling at its lowest price ever (the same price it fell to during Black Friday in 2021). See our guide to the best mirrorless cameras for more details on why we like the Lumix S5 so much.

GoPro has been running the deal since November, but the company recently added its new Enduro battery to sweeten the pot. I’ve been testing Enduro for a few weeks now and while the extra work time still depends on the type of video you’re shooting, I can now reliably get about 35 to 40 minutes of 5K video from a single Enduro battery. This deal includes a 1-year GoPro subscription, so if you don’t want this after the free year, be sure to set a reminder to cancel it.

This is the best SD card I’ve used in a digital camera. There are a few that are a little faster, but I’ve never had a problem with this Lexar and it turned out to be very reliable. I don’t want to annoy him, but I have two of those who are almost six years old and still work like new.

Offers for home, kitchen and Ebike

Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac

BoostIQ is an affordable, powerful robot vacuum cleaner. It is a few years old and has no application like the newer models, but it still works. It is small, uses bumper technology to clean around your home and has a pretty good battery life. This is a great entry into the world of robot vacuum cleaners.

If you need a new mattress, this is one of our favorites for lovers of solid styles. It’s a hybrid, so there’s a combination of cooling gel foam, high-density foam and individually wrapped coils, and you might like it if you’re dealing with certain types of back pain. Read more about this in our guide to the best mattresses. We also gathered other offers for home and bedding earlier this week here.

If you love a cup of good coffee that is ready when you get up, this Cuisinart meets the bill. I had a very similar model and I liked the ability to set the exact temperature at which I want to make my coffee.

Now I’ve tested a few Nutribullets, though not this one, and found them to be solid blenders that can handle everything from your basic smoothies to more challenging things like homemade nut butter. If you need a blender and don’t want to spend a fortune, this deal is worth it.

Game deals

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The WIRED staff loves it The Witcher 3. One of us even called it the best game of the decade. So go ahead, toss a coin at your Witcher.

Immerse yourself in the world of user-created Mario with this game deal, which we called “one-stop shop to be absolutely shattered by Mario’s levels”.

It’s been around for a while, but like most Nintendo games, it doesn’t often see discounts. You get a classic Donki Kong action here, but also for anyone who loves side scrollers.

This game of Assassin’s Creed is often sold, but this price makes it a theft. It is long with a meandering plot, but the raids of Saxon villages as a Viking in the dark ages compensate for it. This is also a wonderful game to watch.
