Delonte West Arrested in Florida for Alleged Public Intoxication Incident

#Roommates, back in January, things looked very positive for former NBA star Delonte West, as he was hired and recovering from his addiction to substance abuse. Unfortunately, a recent incident in Florida shows that the recovery process has stalled. According to new reports, Delonte West was recently arrested in Florida for an alleged public intoxication incident.

@TMZ_TV reports earlier this week that former NBA player Delonte West ran into a problem in Palm Beach County, Florida, when he was arrested for wrestling and public intoxication. Police reports say Delonte was stopped by police in Palm Beach County after he was found shouting, swearing and banging on the doors of the Boynton Police Station while holding open bottles of beer and vodka. He was then ordered to leave and put on the alcohol, which he initially seemed to do, but things got worse.

Police say that instead of complying, Delonte got up and put his hands in his pockets, causing an officer to grab his taser. However, after Delonte responded to verbal orders, he was arrested without further incident, but reportedly “continued to be militant” in the back of the police car. He was arrested at 10:32 p.m. on October 19 and released on October 20 at 5:46 p.m.

As we announced earlier in January, Delonte West found a job at the same facility where he is being treated for substance abuse. At the time, it was reported that “West now has a job at Rebound Therapy Center in Florida, which is the rehabilitation facility he attends. In addition, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban reunited with his mother in September and remained in close contact.

No further information on his arrest has been released so far.
